In an effort to ensure that the highest standard of security also applies to plant protection, its operator, Oskarshamnsverkets Kraftgrupp AB (OKG), has now contracted Funkwerk to install a new digital video monitoring system. The plant will be equipped with over 200 day/night network cameras and precision pan-tilt units from Funkwerk plettac electronic GmbH. Visualisation at the plant’s operations control centre is ensured by two monitor walls with 14 monitors each and several workstations. All activities registered by the cameras are redundantly recorded by the video system and analysed.

It has helped us as a security specialist gain a good reputation now also in the Scandinavian region. The contract will no doubt consolidate our position in the Swedish nuclear power plant sector,” Gérard Monin from Funkwerk explains.
