TVI Lederer Argovision - company history
The ARGOVISION brand dates from the TVI Lederer GmbH based in Sinzing near Regensburg. The former engineering office, founded by Karlheinz Lederer in 1978, made its mark with ultraprecision products for video surveillance.
Born of the idea of video surveillance systems modelled on human nature TVI Lederer designed and realized a wide range of co-ordinated and fully integrated security products. The high-performance pan-tilt-head PLATON, the SATURN video control system, the digital video management system JUPITER, the MULTISEC software tool and the CT 40A control terminal with the ARGOSTICK one-hand control lever are just the most important products made by TVI Lederer operating under the name of ARGOVISION since 1988.
Video-based ARGOVISION security solutions are well-established in security and traffic applications. They can be found in national and international football stadiums, sports stadiums and race courses as well as in industrial areas and for traffic management and monitoring (e.g. for release of the hard shoulder on motorways with the „Argoscan“ detection software, the winner of the „Intertraffic Innovation Award 2008“). Monitoring of prisons and forensic facilities is another focal point of ARGOVISION’s business portfolio.
Since 2007 the „Argovision“ brand is marketed under the roof of the Funkwerk AG. In 2008 Argovision became fully integrated in the Funkwerk plettac GmbH which operates the former TVI Lederer head office in Sinzing now as its „Argovision branch“.
