ARGOVISION: modelled on human nature

After its integration into the Funkwerk AG in 2007 ARGOVISION today is part of the Funkwerk plettac electronics GmbH. Nevertheless, the ARGOVISION idea lives on – in much valued products and system solutions. And, of course, in the ARGOVISION team personifying the well-known brand at the former ARGOVISION site in Sinzing, which is now one of Funkwerk plettac’s branch offices.

Video-based ARGOVISION security solutions are modelled on human nature. If anything, let’s say noise, calls on man’s attention, he will turn his eyes to the source of sound. He will most likely approach the acoustic source and track the identified event.

ARGOVISION translates this human model into technical procedures: If video or other external detection systems like fence, ground, radar or infrared detectors identify any event, the nearest dynamic PLATON camera station will focus on the triggering event immediately. The fully flexible system allows fast orientation and enables the security staff to verify and identify this event at once.

The patented multifunctional joystick ARGOSTICK enables operator-driven event tracking. ARGOSTICK allows one-hand operation (panning, tilting, zoom and focus) of any selected camera station. All features are running simultaneously and synchronously, with variable speed and without abrupt movements which is a crucial factor for lenses with great focal width.

ARGOVISION camera control systems perfectly support the human observation behaviour. Among other features it also allows general monitoring of open terrain, virtual round tours, integration of existing fire alarm and burglar alarm systems and the like.
